Process & Fitting

To guarantee optimal performance, at your request we can offer to directly visit your base with our equipment to scan and define the sizes of pilots (helmets and mask), as part of our 3D measurement scanning process. The entire scan + size definition takes less than 15 minutes, our equipment is portable and is installed in under 5 minutes.

Process steps

1
Pilot scan

Using our 3D measuring scanner the pilot’s head is scanned, this step is fast and painless. An accurate 3D rendering is generated and automatically adjusted.

2
Pilot data entry

A unique user ID is automatically assigned, for security reason and to guarantee complete privacy, no specific name is used. We select the type of calculation for the next step (helmet + mask, helmet only or mask only). Additional information such as gender, age and additional comments are provided.

3
Calculation

The pilot’s scan and newly provided information is then submitted to our AI powered system for calculation, this takes only a few minutes.

4
Size definition

Our system recommends sizes in our inventory that best match the pilot. The pilot tries each sizes, provides feedback for discomfort or leaks and chooses the best fit. This step allows us to calculate a comfort variable for that pilot. Additional comments are provided for information specific to the pilot such as injuries that could have a factor in the size selection for his helmet or mask.

5
Pilot sheet

A pilot sheet is then generated, it includes all the previous pilot data entry (with the exception of the pilot’s identity): Size definition and configuration of both helmet and makes (including the settings). This pilot sheet can be used by the technical team of the customer in order to ensure the pilot always flies with the same configuration

Helmet sizes

Our system’s calculation generates the best fitted match of mask or helmet size specific to each pilot, in some cases several size matches are possible. This will happen more frequently as new sizes are added-in to our product inventory if they are at a high level of matching.

The shell provides overall support to the helmet, a comfort lineris used for a better fit and more comfort and then, for a moreprecise fit, cheek pads are used for the adjustment.
